Instructional Network 5 Blog Site-Spring 2008
My work on the Instructional Network 5 blog site was initiated by the findings and conclusions drawn from my Action Research project. It has become an integral part of the daily work of my instructional support team. Our collaboration, communication and productivity have all been positively impacted by this innovation.
Digital Storytelling-Summer 2007
Digital storytelling can be a compelling and engaging instructional tool to share or generate content for learners. In this project I created a digital story to convey a message that was intended to provoke a response from participants in a math professional development. The session makes the case that the teacher’s personal assumptions can impact student’s beliefs, perceptions and achievement.
Action Research Project-Spring 2007
My action research project focused on analyzing and refining my professional development strategies and practices for adult learners. This exercise was instrumental as I had very quickly gone from classroom instruction to the role of Instructional Specialist and it was necessary to develop reflective and evaluative habits of mind early to insure positive and progressive growth.
Trend Analysis-Professional Learning Communities for Technology Integration Winter 2005
This project was a collaborative analysis of technology and Professional Learning Communities. The analysis focused on examining PLC’s, a multi-faceted construct, through the lens of technology integration.
Aggressive Driving Instructional Module-Winter 2005
This instructional design project focused on a training solution for aggressive drivers. The course was created with the goal of moderating the behavior of drivers who had been charged with operating a motor vehicle in an aggressive or dangerous manner.
Instructional Design Model-Spring 2005
In my first instructional design project for my graduate studies I navigated through the selection of a model to analysis, strategy, design, production and evaluation. This project represents the foundation of my program and the professional growth and development that would follow.
